Final Magazine Copy

Work-in-Progress Shots

These are my work-in-progress shots of my magazine copy. I found it quite hard to produce a magazine cover on Photoshop, so if i were to do this again, I would definitely do it on InDesign. I also think that I could have taken the pictures with a better quality camera. I used my iPhone 5C, so I could have used my Canon DSLR.
Overall, I think this went well because I was able to produce a magazine copy that was of a good standard. I struggled to get the text right, because there wasn't an exact copy online that I could find and download; so I had to use another font, that I found online, which was as close to the original as I could possibly get it.

Contact Sheet

This is my contact sheet of the photos i'm going to use for my magazine cover. I took several photos of the same position, this is because of the quality of my camera. I used my iPhone 5C to take the pictures, therefore taking several pictures of the same one would increase my chances of getting a better picture.
I have chosen to use the last picture, because it looks like the one I need for my magazine copy. I will have to edit the photos and make them black and white. I am planning to use either InDesign or Photoshop to edit these photos and produce my magazine cover.

Brief 3 Introduction

My task is to produce a magazine cover. I am to recreate a magazine cover of any genre of my choice, using Photoshop/InDesign. The genre I have chosen is fashion, and I am to choose a magazine with some interesting effects.
I also have the choice of doing an illustrated cover, or a photographed cover. I have chosen to focus more of photography on the magazine cover, as opposed to the illustrated covers.

Final Booklet

This is my final product of the Corita Kent booklet. I enjoyed making the booklet because I could experiment with different ideas and use loads of techniques I was accustomed to. This made it easier for me in producing these designs. My favourite page is the "There are several serial killers in Sweden." This is because you can clearly see the contrasting design idea, compared to the other pages. Between pages 1 and 2, there isn't much of a contrasting effect, because the designs and techniques are clearly very similar. That is what I would change if I were to do it again. I would ensure that each page contrasted with the next, as opposed to having 2 very similar designs within the booklet.

Final Piece Template

This is my final design, which I produced in Photoshop. I am happy with the outcome, however, if I were to do it again - I'd make sure that all the different pages were contrasting.

Cut Out Poem

This is my poem - I made this by cutting words and phrases out of three random books and dropping them into place. However random they landed, that was my poem.
